If you ha v e to touch the DUT , test leadwires, probes, and/or output terminals and
their vicinities for re-connections or other reasons, be sure of the follo wing tw o mat -
ters.
(a) The analog v oltmeter on the tester pr oper indicates “z er o. ”
(b) The D ANGER lamp on the tester pr oper has gone out.

Chec k upon completion of a DC withstanding v olta ge test/
insulation resistance test
Output of the test v oltage in a DC withstanding v oltage test or insulation resistance
test causes the capacitors within the tester proper , test leadwires, and DUT to be
char ged to high v oltages.
The T OS9200/9201 tester features a dischar ge function. Ho we v er , ne v er attempt to
touch the DUT , test leadwires, or a high-v oltage li v e part such as the periphery of
the output terminals until the D ANGER lamps on the scanner and the tester probes
goes of f, due to the possibility of electric shock. F or the dischar ge function, see the
