System settings
Activating/deactivating the user input lock
If the user input lock is activated, you will not be able to use some of the functions on
the TravelPilot EX-V whilst driving, such as entering a destination. A warning mes-
sage will appear on the display if you attempt to use a locked function. Press the
OK
button to hide the warning message.
1. If you want to activate/deactivate the user input lock, select the “Speed lock”
menu item. Press the
OK
button.
A confirmation request is displayed. ✔
2. Mark the appropriate item. Press the
OK
button.
A menu for entering the numerical code is displayed. ✔
3. Enter the security code. Finally, mark “OK” and press the
OK
button.
If you have entered the security code correctly, the “Other” menu will be dis-
played with the setting alongside the menu item. ✔
Calibration settings
1. Mark on the top line of the “Settings” menu. Press
OK
.
The sub-menu for calibration will appear. ✔
Calibration after changing the tyres
When the car tyres are changed, from summer to winter tyres for example, it might be
necessary to calibrate the TravelPilot EX-V again.
1. Select “Tyre change”. Press
OK
.
A warning note will appear. ✔
2. If you want to calibrate the system, select “Continue” and press
OK
.
As soon as you begin driving, the TravelPilot EX-V will begin to update the
calibration information stored.
This process is displayed in a status window. ✔
