R01 Q
How can Istore the playback position when switching off the
radio?
A
Most radios transmit a "STOP" command to the CDC (i.e. the
interface) which causes the last playback position to be stored. With
this radio, the command only appears when the switching voltage of
the radio is switched off, which means the interface is no longer able
to evaluate the command.
Despite this, you can still store the last playback position as follows:
Use the CD-C | SRC | FM-AM | TUN button to select another
source before you switch the radio off.
Then switch the radio off.
After you switch on the radio again, select the CDC as the
playback source again and playback will resume from the stored
position.
Note:
This only works for as long as you have not changed the USBstick!

A
After the software download, please switch your RNS off and on again
TWICE. The new application software will then be ready and you can
select the CDC source again.

R03 Q
How do I access MDmode?
A
1. Create the \BLAUPUNKT directory on your USBstick and copy the
Config.txt file containing the MD-mode configuration data into the
directory; see A05.
2. SRC -> TUN -> CDC -> "MD" mode
After the software download, please switch your RNS off and on again
TWICE. The new application software will then be ready and you can
select the CDC source again.

R04 Q Why does my Rome NAV55E sometimes not display MD mode
despite the MD configuration being present?
A
Particularly after switching on the device, "CDC" appears on the
display even if MD mode was configured.
This is a characteristic of the radio that cannot be remedied by the
interface.
You can work around the situation as follows:
Briefly switch to another audio source and then back to CDC. Doing
so also updates the CDC/MD display.
