40
Most recommended distance is the term
used to describe the distance at which the
bullet trajectory intersects the sight radius
for the second time while not rising more
than 4 cm above the line of sight. Advantage
of the most recommended distance: By ze-
roing in the rie to this distance, it is possible
to shoot up to the munition-specic most
recommended distance without point-of-
aim correction, without having a vertical
deviation of more than 4 cm.
Removing and reassembling the QDC
unit
The QDC unit must be removed for the zero-
ing process. The elevation adjustment knob
can then be turned in both directions, just
like the windage adjustment knob, without
zero stop.
Remove the QDC unit as follows: First, un-
screw the at cover of the elevation adjust-
ment (Fig. 10).
Then use the supplied Allen key (size 1.5mm)
to turn the screw in the middle of the turret
anticlockwise until it is fully undone and then
remove the QDC unit (Fig. 11 and Fig. 12).
Repeat the above procedure in the reverse
order to reassemble the QDC unit after ze-
roing. Position the QDC unit so that the lo-
cating pin on the underside of the cap slides
into the corresponding hole of the elevation
dial.
Before reassembling the QDC unit, ensure
that the zero marking on the scale of the
elevation dial matches the index marking on
the base of the turret.
Then carefully tighten the hex screw in the
centre of the QDC unit and screw the cover
back on again.
