Operation
Before beginning work with the
RD17, always make sure your
weapon is unloaded.
Inserting the battery
The compartment for the
CR2032 battery is located on
the right-hand side of the sight
when viewed from the rear or
eyepiece. To remove the battery
cover, turn it anticlockwise.
Insert a CR2032 battery with the
negative pole (-) on the inside
and screw the battery cover tight
again by turning it clockwise.
Note: If the battery cover is not
screwed on tightly enough, the
LED may illuminate irregularly
or moisture may penetrate the
battery compartment.

Setting illumination
The buttons for setting the
illumination are located on the
top of the sight so that they can
easily be operated with either
hand. To switch on the reticule
illumination, briey press the (+)
or (-) button. To switch o, press
and hold the button (+) or (-)
longer than 1 second until the
LED turns o.
As soon as the light dot
illuminates, the brightness
can be increased by pressing
the (+) button and decreased
by pressing the (-) button.
The sight is equipped with an
IIC movement sensor which
switches o the illumination if
no movement is detected for
about 180 seconds. As soon as
the sensor detects movement
once again, it switches on the
illumination with the previous
settings. The sight oers 10
illumination settings: eight for
daylight and two for night.
Mounting the RD17
The Blaser Saddle Mount
was specially designed and
constructed for the RD17.
The Blaser Saddle Mount
guarantees perfect attachment
to your Blaser weapon with a
low installation height. The RD17
is supplied with a pre-mounted
Blaser Saddle Mount and Blaser
ip covers as standard and is
thus ready for use straight away.
After having been zeroed in
once, the RD17 can be removed
and put back in place as often as
desired in just a few steps while
retaining 100% repeat accuracy.
