6.2. Damper for top firing pin
The damper for the top firing pin is fixed
with the threaded rod of the balancer and
has a spring mounted central firing bolt
made from brass.
Maintenance on this part is not necessary.
Mounting the balancer weights
Remove the forearm.
Remove the barrel set.
Loosen the threaded rod with damper in
the top chamber of the USGL barrel set
by using a 5 mm Allen Key, the Allen Key
must be pressed firmly against the striker
pin‘s spring force to avoid slipping off.
Loosen the locking screw on the balancer
you would like to mount with a 2 mm
Allen Key.
Screw the balancer over the notch onto
the removed threaded rod into the desired
position.
Fix the locking screw with a 2 mm Allen
Key.
Insert the threaded rod together with the
balancer in the top chamber of the
USGL barrel, screw it in with a 5 mm Allen
Key and tighten it , the Allen Key must
be pressed firmly against the striker pin‘s
spring force to avoid slipping off.
Demounting the balancer weights
Remove the forearm.
Remove the barrel set.
Loosen the threaded rod in the top funnel
of the USGL barrel by using a 5 mm Allen
Key and remove it.
Loosen the locking screw on the balancer
which should be demounted with a 2 mm
Allen Key.
Screw off the balancer over the notch of
the threaded rod.
Insert the threaded rod in the top funnel
of the USGL barrel, screw it in with a
5 mm Allen Key and tighten it.
