Balance weights
Balancer
5.6. Adjusting the stock balancer Adjusting the weight distribution
f Loosen the fixing screw N on the balancer
weight using a 2 mm Allen key.
f Turn the balancer weight to the desired po-
sition.
f Tighten up the fixing screw N on the balancer
weight using a 2 mm Allen key.
NOTE:
To minimize damage to the balancer weight rod,
when tightening up the fixing screw N ensure
that the fixing screw N does not press directly
onto the thread, rather lies on the smooth longi-
tudinal surface of the threaded rod.
NOTE:
The balancer is usually fitted with one balancer
weight. Depending on the weight of the stock
and/or the individual balance desired, the
threaded rod in the balancer may be fitted with
no weights, with one weight or with two weights.
When using one or two weights the fine ad-
justment of the balance is done by turning the
weight in the desired direction.
Removing the non-adjustable
rubber stock cap
f Unscrew the stock cap fixing screws L and M
using a size 1 Phillips screwdriver.
f Remove the stock cap.
NOTE:
Both fixing screws L and M are recessed into the
stock cap and cannot be seen from the outside.
The stock cap has slots in the area of the fixing
screws on the end side. To unscrew the fixing
screws, insert the Phillips screwdriver by press-
ing it into the slit-like opening in the stock cap. To
avoid damaging the stock cap, we recommend
coating the tip of the Phillips screwdriver with
gun oil or gun grease.
Removing the stock balancer
f Loosen the balancer using a 5 mm Allen key.
While doing this, point the muzzle downwards
and place it on a non-slip surface.
f Remove the balancer.
ATTENTION:
After loosening the balancer, the rear stock is
no longer attached. When handling the firearm,
the rear stock can loosen itself from the firearm
suddenly – this may cause damage to the fire-
arm as a result.
NOTE:
There is a spacer and a spring package in the
rear stock which can be found when the bal-
ancer is removed. They lie loosely on the stock
retaining bolt. Hold the firearm with the muzzle
pointing downwards to prevent the spacer and
the spring package falling out.
Inserting the stock balancer
f Place the firearm with the muzzles down-
wards on a non-slip surface.
f Screw in the balancer using a 5 mm Allen key.
NOTE:
When inserting the balancer, ensure that the
spacer and the spring package are in the shaft
on the shaft retaining bolt. The rear stock is
fastened to the firearm by screwing in and tight-
ening up the balancer. The balancer must there-
fore be tightened fully.
Replacing the non-adjustable
stock cap
f Place the Phillips screws L and M with their
tips on the screw holes on the end side of the
stock cap.
f Tighten up the Phillips screws using a size 1
Phillips screwdriver.
NOTE:
When tightening up the Phillips screws L and M
ensure that they line up exactly with the stock
both in height and at the side.
