Port Configuration
Use the Interface port commands to configure settings for individual switch ports.

Command Syntax and Usage
interface port <port alias or number>
Enter Interface Port configuration mode for the selected port.
Command mode: Global configuration
interface portchannel <trunk group number>
Enter Interface PortChannel (trunk group) configuration mode for the selected trunk group. This
mode allows you to configure port settings for the trunk group.
Command mode: Global configuration
[no] broadcast-threshold <100-10000>
Limits the number of broadcast packets per second to the specified value. If disabled, the port for-
wards all broadcast packets.
Command mode: Interface port
[no] dest-lookup-threshold <100-10000>
Limits the number of unknown unicast packets per second to the specified value. If disabled (dis),
the port forwards all unknown unicast packet.
Command mode: Interface port
dot1p <0-7>
Configures the port’s 802.1p priority level.
Command mode: Interface port
[no] multicast-threshold <100-10000>
Limits the number of multicast packets per second to the specified value. If disabled, the port for-
wards all multicast packets.
Command mode: Interface port
[no] name <1-64 characters>
Sets a name for the port. The assigned port name displays next to the port number on some infor-
mation and statistics screens.
Command mode: Interface port
pvid <1-4094>
Sets the default VLAN number which will be used to forward frames which are not VLAN tagged.
The default number is 1 for non-management ports.
