The information provided by each menu option is briefly described in Table 5-1, with pointers
to detailed information.
Table 5-1 Statistics Menu Options (/stats)
Command Syntax and Usage
port <port number>
Displays the Port Statistics Menu for the specified port. Use this command to display traffic statis-
tics on a port-by-port basis. Traffic statistics are included in SNMP Management Information Base
(MIB) objects. To view menu options, see page 75.
l2
Displays the Layer 2 Stats Menu. To view menu options, see page 87.
l3
Displays the Layer 3 Stats Menu. To view menu options, see page 89.
mp
Displays the Management Processor Statistics Menu. Use this command to view information on
how switch management processes and resources are currently being allocated. To view menu
options, see page 100.
acl
Displays ACL Statistics menu. To view menu options, see page 104.
snmp
Displays SNMP statistics. See page 105 for sample output.
ntp [clear]
Displays Network Time Protocol (NTP) Statistics. See page 109 for a sample output and a descrip-
tion of NTP Statistics.
Use the following command to clear all NTP statistics: ntp clear
clrmp
Clears all management processor statistics.
clrports
Clears statistics counters for all ports.
dump
Dumps all switch statistics. Use this command to gather data for tuning and debugging switch per-
formance. If you want to capture dump data to a file, set your communication software on your
workstation to capture session data prior to issuing the dump command. For details, see page 110.
