Boot Options
To use the Boot Options commands, you must be logged in to the switch as the administrator.
The Boot Options commands allow you to perform the following actions:
 Select a switch software image to be used when the switch is next reset.
 Select a configuration block to be used when the switch is next reset.
 Download or uploading a new software image to the switch via TFTP.
In addition to the Boot commands, you can use a Web browser or SNMP to work with switch
image and configuration files. To use SNMP, see “Using SNMP with Switch Images and Con-
figuration Files” on page 183.”
The boot options are discussed in the following sections.
The following commands allow you to download/backup software files and
configuration files.

copy running-config tftp
Copy the running configuration to a file on the selected TFTP server.
Command Mode: Privileged EXEC
copy active-config tftp
Copy the active configuration to a file on the selected TFTP server.
Command Mode: Privileged EXEC
copy backup-config tftp
Copy the backup configuration to a file on the selected TFTP server.
Command Mode: Privileged EXEC
copy {image1|image2|boot-image} tftp
Copy software image file from the selected flash partition to a TFTP server.
