IGMPv3 Snooping is compatible with IGMPv1 and IGMPv2 Snooping. You can disable snooping
on version 1 and version 2 reports, using the following command:
IGMP Snooping Configuration Example
This section provides steps to configure IGMP Snooping on the switch.
Configure IGMP Snooping
1. Configure port and VLAN membership on the switch.
2. Enable IGMP Snooping.
3. Add VLANs to IGMP Snooping.
4. Enable IGMPv3 Snooping (optional).
5. View dynamic IGMP information.
RS G8000 (config)# no ip igmp snoop igmpv3 v1v2
RS G8000 (config)# ip igmp snoop enable
RS G8000 (config)# ip igmp snoop vlan 1
RS G8000 (config)# ip igmp snoop igmpv3 enable
RS G8000# show ip igmp groups
Note: Local groups (224.0.0.x) are not snooped/relayed and will not appear.
