Show Recent Syslog Messages
The following command displays system log messages:
show logging messages
Command mode:
All
Each syslog message has a criticality level associated with it, included in text form as a prefix to the
log message. One of eight different prefixes is used, depending on the condition that the
administrator is being notified of, as shown below.
EMERG Indicates the system is unusable
ALERT Indicates action should be taken immediately
CRIT Indicates critical conditions
ERR Indicates error conditions or errored operations
WARNING Indicates warning conditions
NOTICE Indicates a normal but significant condition
INFO Indicates an information message
DEBUG Indicates a debug-level message
