Re-arrange the Electrodes on Spike Panel (i.e. Create a Map File)
It is possible to re-arrange the electrode positions on Spike Panel and Activity Map. To do this, a plain text file
needs to be created that contains information on where each channel is to be displayed on the screen in relation to all
the other channels. The sample below is an example of such a map file and it’s resulting orientation.

The map file contains five columns. The first column indicates the location of the spike window on the x-axis. The
second column indicates the location of the spike panel on the y-axis. Point 0,0 is on the lower left corner of the
screen. The third column indicates the bank the physical channel is located on (A, B, C, or D) and the fourth column
indicates the bank pin the channel is connected to. The fifth column is optional and defines the label for the channel.
In the example above, the first line indicates that the channel on bank A pin 1 is named elec04 and it’s located on the
