TIP Image stabilization automatically manages vertical gate hop when you
select the ‘enable y’ checkbox. It needs no further adjustment and works in
conjunction with horizontal stabilization.
With the 16mm HDR skid plate installed, the stabilizer
aligns automatically to the other side of the perforation
to avoid interfering with the film image and improve
horizontal stability. When using a ‘non-HDR’ 16mm skid
plate, it functions the same as the 35mm skid plate.
