Shared Node cannot install Multi-User through a transform

Installing a Shared installation, and selecting a Multiple User Installation through a transform, is not

supported. This is also documented in the Install documentation.

Lotus Notes

Some messages do not appear in the Linux install log file

Some messages do not appear in the install log file when running Lotus Notes 8 installation or

uninstallation on a Linux client. However, if you run Lotus Notes 8 in console mode, these messages are

displayed. The types of messages being referred to are those described at the following Web address:

These types of messages are shown only when Lotus Notes 8 installation or uninstallation is run in

console mode.

In addition to the READ1ST.TXT file supplied with the Domino 8 beta Web kit, you can also refer to the

Before installing the Domino 8 beta software, verify the following:

MANDATORY PTF 5722SS1 SI24683 OSP-THREADS-PERFM FASTER THREAD LOCAL

STORAGE ACCESS METHOD must be applied. Without the PTF applied the product will install, but

virtually all Domino-related functions (WRKDOMSVR, CFGDOMSVR, UPDDOMSVR, and anything

that performs a NotesInit API call) will fail with messages that may refer to a missing export from

service program QLEAWI.

You have a user profile with the required authorities to install and configure Domino. For more

information about required authorities, see "i5/OS authorities required to install and configure

Domino" in the Domino 7 for i5/OS HELP.

You have installed the required hardware and software. For more information, see the Release Note

System i software requirements .

Your operating system is IBM i5/OS V5R4. If your operating system is not at the V5R4 level, you

must upgrade it before installing Domino 8 beta.

Any previous beta or pre-release versions of Domino 8 servers have been removed using

CFGDOMSVR SERVER(server-name) OPTION(*REMOVE) and the software has been removed

using DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5733LD8).
