Lotus Notes compatibility with Microsof t® Windows Vista
For Notes 8, the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system was tested according to the following
configuration:
1.
Turn User Account Control (UAC) off
- Launch MSCONFIG from the Run menu.
- Click on the 'Tools' tab. Scroll down and click "Disable UAP" (Note: "UAP" will be changed to
"UAC" in a later beta build).
- Press the "Launch" button.
- A command window will open. When the command is finished running, you can close the
window.
- Close MSCONFIG; reboot the computer for changes to apply.
Note: You can re-enable UAC by selecting the "Enable UAP" line from the 'Tools' tab, and then
clicking on the "Launch" button.
2.
Install as Adminstrator (using Vista default policy settings) to the default path
C:\Program
Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes.
3.
Run as a Standard User (using Vista default policy settings). If you do not get desktop launch
icons for User, create them by dragging the Notes Mail shortcut from the Start menu.
