IBM Lotus Notes, Domino, Domino Designer 8 Release Notes
Domino for System i
HTTP crash when same port used by IPV 4/IPV6 servers
The HTTP task of a server that is configured to use IPV6 will crash if the HTTP port is already in use by
another server that is configured to use IPV4.
Workaround
In the Domino Directory, specify the host name(s) with an IPV4 or IPV6 address, and then enable "Bind to
host name".
Domino Server
IMAP enabling a mail file on a transactional logged server
There is a known issue when IMAP enabling (convert -e) a mail file on a transactional logged server. The
following console messages may be displayed depending on the size of the mail file to enable:
Cannot write to log file: Recovery Manager: Log File is Full, try again later
05/18/2007 05:11:59 PM Mail Convert Failed on mail\test: Error enabling NSF
support for IMAP: Recovery Manager: Log File is Full, try again later
A potential workaround is to use a non-transactional logged server for IMAP enablement..
Domino Server
Linux: Running NSD manually can cause Domino to crash
Do not run NSD manually for Domino on Linux or Domino can crash. This is caused by a known problem
with gdb, and has been reported (reference Bugzilla report numbers 33787 and 33780).
Domino for System i
System i: Daylight Savings Time change not recognized
You must end and restart your Domino server when the system value QTIME is updated. The Domino
server will not automatically sense the Daylight Savings Time change.
