Preferences dialog issues
Following are the issues using the Preferences dialog in the Notes client on Linux:
1.
Invisible port names "Serial 1" and "Serial 2" are displayed in Notes Ports
2.
"Calendar and To Do" pane is not responding when switching from Notes Ports
3.
Opening Calendar and To Do to resize the Preferences window is slow
4.
"Mark documents read when opened in preview pane" under 'Additional
Options' in the Notes Basic Client cannot be checked as an option
5.
Modeless Notes dialog boxes do not block Java controls in the Preference dialog; users can still
select Java items from the Preference dialog

Preview icon missing on Linux client
For Lotus Notes 8 on a SLED 10 Linux client, the Preview icon is incomplete or missing from the Show
action drop-down menu in the Mail view.

Print issues
Following are the print issues using the Notes client on Linux:
1.
All pages are printed when the "Current Page" option is checked
2.
Print speed is slow for documents with multi-fonts or multi-languages
3.
Bitmap font print output is noticeably smaller on paper
4.
Several font sizes on paper are much bigger than the actual size, including B&H series, Adobe
Courier, Adobe Helvetica, and Adobe New Century Schoolbook
5.
Arabic characters of Efont Biwidth and Efont Fixed fonts are much smaller than actual size
6.
"Multi-Page Print Preview" displays incorrectly
7.
Only CUPS is supported as the printing interface. Other interfaces, like lp, lpr, kprinter, or gtklp, are
not supported. In addition, performance is bad when printing a large document, and the Notes
"background printing" feature is not supported at all.

Redundant words remain on "User Security" page
The option "Log in to Notes using your operating system login" on the User Security dialog is redundant.

Regional profile is not set to OS locale as default language
When installing the Notes client on Linux to any locale, the Regional profile is always set to "English" as
the default in the Preferences dialog.
