Lotus Notes
Appearance issues
The appearance of some items in the Notes client on Linux may differ as follows:
1.
The Inbox, Calendar, and Contacts views have different appearances than other database views
2.
The Notes windows on Linux have similar appearances as on Windows operating systems, but may
have different styles than other Linux applications, especially in some advanced window manager
systems, for example XGL. Some Notes dialogs have no 3-D effects when they are being dragged by
a mouse in an XGL-enabled desktop
3.
The Open File dialog is different than the standard dialog in GNOME
4.
The Attach dialog box does not allow users to sort the file list by any criteria
Lotus Notes
Applications menu remains open
When running Lotus Notes 8 on SLED 10, some menu remain open when others are selected. For
example, click Open and then scroll down and hover on Applications; the Applications menu appears to
the right. Scroll further down and click Web Browser; the web browser opens but the Applications menu
also remains open and functional. This behavior may also occur for other Open menu options that launch
their own menu.

The files

Lotus Notes
Cannot drag Notes to another workspace if modal dialog is active
For Notes running on RHEL 5 only, if you drag the Notes icon in the OS task bar from one workspace to
another while a modal dialog is opened (for example, CTRL+O), only the modal dialog displays in the
second workspace. The Notes main window is still in the first workspace.
