Error message displays setting up partitioned server

When you set up a partitioned server with the

nserver

command, an error message window with "You

must specify a valid data directory" will pop up. This pop-up, however, should be a Windows partition

selection option.

Workaround

Directly load the Notes.INI pameter, for example, C:\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe =

C:\Lotus\Domino\data2\notes.ini

Installing GNU debugger on Linux prior to running NSD

You must install the GNU debugger on Linux systems running Domino servers to allow the NSD process

to gather information related to system failures. Install the gdb directory in usr/bin and then ensure that

the Domino server ID has permission to execute /usr/bin/gdb. Installing gdb allows NSD to capture call

stacks from processes that are failing so that the problem can be examined and resolved. If you do not

install the GNU debugger prior to running NSD, then NSD will be unable to capture critical diagnostic

information about Domino processes.
