Installing the IBM Lotus Domino server on the new computer
You can install the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1.4 on a new IBM Lotus Domino server. You do not have
to retain the IBM Lotus Domino server name from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 2.2 on the new
computer. After you complete the upgrade, inform users of the new IBM Domino server name so that they can
update the settings in their BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Perform system maintenance on the existing BlackBerry Enterprise Servers.
Back up system information on the existing BlackBerry Enterprise Servers.
Consolidate all user licenses on the first BlackBerry Enterprise Server that you plan to upgrade. See “Consolidate user license

Estimate the time that it should take to migrate user accounts during the upgrade process. See “Preview the user migration” on
