Could not open ID file
This message displays when you start the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server setup application but it closes unexpectedly.
Possible solution
1. If you installed the IBM® Lotus® Domino® server recently but you did not start it yet, start it and stop it.
2. Restart the setup application.
Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "3"
This message appears in the IBM® Lotus® Domino® console after you install and start the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and
IBM Lotus Domino server.
Possible solution
Configure the local Windows® account that the BlackBerry Enterprise Server uses for database authentication to connect to the
remote BlackBerry Configuration Database.
You encounter errors when you try to upgrade the BlackBerry Configuration
Database
Possible solution
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\Installer or to the location of the log
files that you specified in the setup application.
2. Open DB_InstallV<YYMMDDHHMMSS>.log, where <YYMMDDHHMMSS> specifies the date and time, in 24 hour clock
format, that you upgraded the BlackBerry® Configuration Database.
3. Check the log file for error messages.
You cannot resolve errors that occur when you move users
Possible solution
1. Delete the user accounts from the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server before you start the upgrade process.
2. Add the user accounts to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server when the upgrade process completes.
3. Activate users’ BlackBerry devices over the wireless network.
