User guide Setup and basics Insert the SIM card Your device uses a nano SIM card. If you don't have a SIM card or don't have the right type of SIM card, contact your service provider. CAUTION: Do not use a larger SIM card that was cut to a smaller size. Your device might not recognise the SIM card, or the SIM card might get stuck because it is thicker than a nano SIM card. 1.

Insert a media card If you want more storage for pictures, videos, music, and documents, you can insert a media card (microSD card). 1. Release the SIM/microSD tray by pushing the SIM pin tool tip (provided in the box) into the hole on the right side of your device. If you don't have the SIM pin tool that came with your device, you can also use a paper clip.

Follow these tips carefully to prevent damage to the device: • Make sure the SIM/microSD tray is tightly closed. • Do not immerse the device in water deeper than 1 meter and keep it submerged for more than 30 minutes. • Do not immerse the device to water moving with force, such as ocean waves, or waterfalls.

Use a slider If a slider appears on your screen, you can progress through a file, such as a song or video, or adjust a setting, such as the screen brightness. Drag the slider handle to the right or left.

Settings User guide Connections Wireless connection icons The following icons might appear at the top of your screen to indicate the wireless coverage level that your device currently has. Icon Description The amount of solid colour indicates the strength of the mobile signal. If the signal is weak, your device might use more power to try to maintain the connection. Your device is connected to the mobile network and can access all of the features of your mobile network plan.

Settings User guide Profile Description Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) This profile allows your device to stream audio files to Bluetooth enabled devices that support stereo audio, such as stereo headsets, speakers, and car kits. Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) This profile allows you to use the buttons on a Bluetooth enabled device, such as a headset, to perform actions such as adjusting the volume or playing the next or previous media file on your device.

For example, you might receive messages with information about severe weather, a missing child, or a national emergency. For more information, contact your service provider or administrator.

If necessary, turn on the Mobile data switch. 4. To see your mobile date usage, tap Mobile data usage. Set a limit for data usage You can set a limit on the amount of data that your device can use when it's connected to the mobile network.
Settings User guide Troubleshooting: Device temperature Some of the following use cases may raise the device temperature: • Continues wireless data transfer, such as application upgrade though Wi-Fi, tethering and mobile hotspot mode; • Prolonged calls, game playing, and internet surfing or running other complex applications. This device temperature raise is a normal behaviour of the CPU handling excessive data. Ending above actions will make your phone return to normal temperature.
Settings User guide Battery and charging icons The battery power level icons appear at the top of the screen. Icon Description The battery is charging. The battery is fully charged and still connected to a power source. The battery is getting low on power. Battery saver mode is turned on, or you can turn it on from your list of notifications. The battery is at 5% power or less. If the battery charge gets too low, your device might turn off. Save any work in progress and charge your device.
User guide Settings Turn off network connections that you aren't using When your device is outside a wireless coverage area, you can turn off your mobile network or Wi-Fi connections so that your device doesn’t search for a wireless network signal continuously.
