Backup Service is turned on, your data is backed up automatically every 24 hours when your device is plugged
in, idle, and connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you reset your device or switch to another Android
device, your data is
restored when you add the Google
account that you used to back up your data to your device.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.

Delete your device data with a factory reset
Before you switch to a new device or give away your current device, you should delete your data. A factory reset is designed
to delete all of the data on your device permanently so that it can't be recovered. The permanently deleted data includes
email accounts, downloaded apps, media files, documents, browser bookmarks, and settings.
Important:
If you delete your device data in any other way, for example, by entering the screen lock incorrectly ten times,
when your device restarts, it will not work again until you enter your Google
account credentials. After a factory reset, you
do not need to enter your Google
account credentials.
