Change when you get notified about data usage
Your wireless service plan must include data services.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.

Tap > Data usage.
3. If necessary, tap the Cellular tab, and turn on the Cellular data switch.
4. At the top of the graph, drag the warning line up or down.
Set a limit for data usage
You can set a limit on the amount of data that your device can use when it's connected to the mobile network. If your device
reaches that limit, it can turn o data services and send you a notification. When data services are turned o, apps and
services on your device might not work correctly.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.

Tap > Data usage.
3. If necessary, tap the Cellular tab, and turn on the Cellular data switch.
4. Turn on the Set cellular data limit switch, and then tap OK.
5. At the top of the graph, drag the red line up or down.
Stop sending background data over the mobile network
To reduce the amount of data that your device uses when connected to the mobile network, you can stop apps and services
from sending data when you aren't actively using the app or service. If you restrict background data, apps and services
might not work correctly unless your device connects to a Wi-Fi network.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two
fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap > Data usage.
3. If necessary, tap the Cellular tab, and turn on the Cellular data switch.
4. Do one of the following:
• To turn o background data for all apps and services on your device, tap > Restrict background data, and then
tap OK.
• To turn o background data for an app or a service, tap the app or service. Turn on the Restrict app background
data switch, and then tap OK.
