WL3 for Windows® Home Server
An add-in for a Windows® Home Server, WL3 allows monitoring and controlling of
an HAI home control system from any web browser device, including iPhone, iPod
Touch, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android Phone, personal computer, and PDA.
As a central server, the Windows Home Server stores, organizes, protects, and
allows you to share all of your digital photos, music, video, and documents,
while running quietly in the background. And with WL3, access expands beyond
entertainment allowing changes in a home’s temperatures, adjusng the lights or
security sengs, or viewing any supported camera securely and easily.
WL3 automacally congures supported UPnP IP cameras on your home network
and allows manual conguraon of other IP cameras on the network or cameras
that reside anywhere on the Internet. View camera video captured from your
home or from public IP cameras around town, such as trac and weather cameras.
WL3 navely supports 60 IP camera models, however, most MJPEG and JPEG
cameras should funcon properly. Setup is simple: WL3 automacally discovers
the supported UPnP IP cameras and congures them. Other cameras can be added
by simply conguring their IP addresses, usernames, and passwords. Regardless of
the brand of camera, the video is displayed in the WL3 format so that all camera
feeds have a consistent look and feel. Easily select any camera, choose the frame
rate and screen size, manually start and stop video recording, take a snapshot of
the video image, and play, pause, or stop the video stream.

WL3 requires an HAI home control
system equipped with an Ethernet
port and Windows® Home Server.
WL3 for Windows Home Server is
customizable. Change the user interface
by applying different graphic and color
schemes. Add RSS feeds for custom
data, such as weather forecasts, sports
scores, news, personal blogs, and much
more to your WL3 Home Page.
Records video based on an event and can
send e-mails or text messages to inform
you when an event occurs. View recorded
videos and snapshots anytime you log in
locally or via the Internet. Video can be
played at normal, accelerated, or frame-
by-frame speeds.
WL3 for Windows Home Server
continually monitors the home,
informing you of events such as the
alarm system being disarmed or
activated, a car entering the property, or
even if the wine cellar door or pool gate
has been opened.
