The HAI Home Theater Extender (HTX) lets you extend your home control to the audio/
video equipment in your home theater. The HTX communicates over Ethernet with an
HAI IP-based Touchscreen. Easily add components with the built-in A/V Library of over
300,000 IR codes or add new codes with the built-in IR Learner.
The HTX works with HAI’s IP-based Touchscreens, such as the OmniTouch 10pe
and 5.7e, to control your home theater equipment. HTX conguraon requires HAI
Automaon Studio soware (HAI Part Number 1126) which is also used to develop
the Touchscreens custom graphic interface. The HTX can be used with an OmniTouch
10pe stand-alone. This feature provides the opon of control without an HAI home
control system. Contact closures can operate window coverings, lights, and home
theater components.
HAIs customizable IP-based OmniTouch Touchscreens send commands to the HTX,
which in turn controls A/V equipment using its serial ports, IR ports, and relays. The
HTX includes four IR Flashers (emiers) that aach to the IR Receiver of any A/V
equipment you wish to control.
The I/O ports on the HTX are used for power sensing for devices without discrete
on/o IR commands. Relay ports on the HTX can be used to control any device that
requires a contact closure, such as motorized screens or blinds. Control of mulple
A/V systems is easy as there is no limit to the number of HTX devices that can be used
in an installaon.
Learn-in IR codes with the
built-in IR receiver.
