Registered Material stored on an FTP server in the DCM folder structure
may also be downloaded to the local DCM folder structure on the DCM
Control PC. This may become necessary if files in the local DCM folder
structure are accidentally deleted. Downloading from the FTP server will
restore these files. In order to preview assets, they must exist in the local
DCM database and on the local hard drive.
Note Only registered content that does not exist in the local DCM folder structure
will be downloaded. Files that are not registered in the DCM, but, exist in the
FTP server folder structure are not downloaded. FIles that exist in both loca-
tions are also not downloaded.
To download material from an FTP server, follow these steps:
1. Select File>FTP>Download from the Menu bar.
The FTP Server dialog shown in Figure 215 appears.
