This improves the accuracy of cut and reduces the chance of blade binding. g) Always use blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus round) of arbour holes. Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run eccentrically, causing loss of control. h) Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or bolt. The blade washers and bolt were specially designed for your saw, for optimum performance and safety of operation.
• Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control. • Keep your body positioned to either side of the blade, but not in line with the saw blade. CUTTING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT - FIGURES I & J The depth of cut should be set according to the thickness of the workpiece. • Loosen the depth adjustment knob (11) to unlock the saw shoe (5) as shown in figure I. • Move the saw shoe into the desired position. The corresponding depth of cut can be read from the scale (14). • Set depth adjustment of saw such that one tooth (15) of the blade projects below the workpiece (16) as shown in figure J. • Tighten the knob to lock the saw shoe in place.
