Safety warnings specific for sanding operations Do not use excessively oversized sanding disc paper. Follow manufacturers recommendations, when selecting sanding paper. Larger sanding paper extending beyond the sanding pad presents a laceration hazard and may cause snagging, tearing of the disc or kickback. Safety warnings specific for polishing operations Do not allow any loose portion of the polishing bonnet or its attachment strings to spin freely. Tuck away or trim any loose attachment strings.
Removing Use a screwdriver to remove the screws (9). Remove the flange (8), guard (4) and spring washer (7). Store these parts carefully. Warning! Never use the tool without the guard. Keep the spindle lock (3) depressed and tighten the outer flange using the two-pin spanner (14) (fig. E). Make sure that the outer flange is fitted correctly and that the disc is clamped tightly.
