The Intelli-Pass
™
Biometric Access Control for Cabinets provides the
perfect blend of security and simplicity — the touch of one fingertip gives
authorized users access. One control unit unlocks the front door and —
with the purchase of an additional electric-lock door handle — the rear door.
Secure two-part architecture
The Intelli-Pass cabinet lock features the same unique two-part
architecture as the rest of the Intell-Pass family (for details, visit blackbox.
com/go/Intelli-Pass). A reader unit mounts outside the cabinet on the
locking handle, and a controller unit is rackmounted inside the cabinet.
Because the reader and controller units are separate, no connections in the
reader unit are exposed to the outside. The controller is secure inside the
cabinet, and a hacker can’t cut wires or spoof the signals to open the door.
Secure locking
The Intelli-Pass system in each cabinet operates independently, so if
the network fails, your cabinet locks will not.
If you’re using Intelli-Pass in a cabinet without a UPS for backup power,
order model SAC550CAB with battery backup. This optional battery backup
ensures that Intelli-Pass works even if power fails.
Integrates seamlessly into your Intelli-Pass system
Intelli-Pass Biometric Access Control for Cabinets works as part of a
complete Intelli-Pass solution. Intelli-Pass Management and Enrollment
Software audits when someone accesses the cabinet using their biometric
fingerprint. The software monitors real-time status information, provides
an access trail, and enables you to handle all the enrollment and
management of the secure cabinets from a single desktop.
Alarming
Intelli-Pass can work with your building’s alarm system to automatically
open cabinets when the alarm goes off, allowing emergency access to
critical equipment. The door handle is also equipped with a keyed lock
for emergency access. Plus you can connect the controller to door sensors,
enabling the system to alert you if a door is opened.
Order with your cabinet or install it later
If you wish to install the Intelli-Pass Biometric Access Control on an
existing Elite Cabinet, order the system at right, or you can specify it when
you order an Elite Cabinet. It also fits many other standard server cabinets.
