Transmitter disconnected from DHCP server (Desktop Mode)
In ServSwitch DTX™ Control Explorer Window area, go to Units window.
Add a single unit
Select product without an IP address.
Select the option ‘No, the transmitter does not have an address.’
Plug the transmitter into the network and power it up.
Enter the network settings of the DTX Transmitter that you wish to locate.
Click Save and Close.
5.1 Calling Black Box
If you determine that your Black Box ServSwitch Extender system is malfunctioning, do
not attempt to alter or repair it. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer to the table on
page 78 for Black Box Technical Support Information.
Before contacting Black Box Technical Support, make a record of the history of the
problem. We will be able to provide more efficient and accurate assistance if you have a
complete description, including:
The nature and duration of the problem
When the problem occurs
The components involved in the problem
Any particular application that, when used, appears to create the problem or make
it
worse
The results of any testing you have already done
5.2 Shipping and Packaging
If you need to transport or ship your Black Box ServSwitch Extender:
Package it carefully. We recommend that you use the original container.
If you are shipping the receiver for repair, make sure you include its power cord and the
cables you are using with it. If you are returning the transmitter, make sure your include
everything you received with it. Before you ship, contact Black Box to get a Return
Authorization (RA) number.
