Excepting file extensions from scanning
When you except a file extension from scanning, Bitdefender will no longer
scan files with that extension, regardless of their location on your device.
The exception also applies to files on removable media, such as CDs, DVDs,
USB storage devices or network drives.
Important
Use caution when excepting extensions from scanning because such
exceptions can make your device vulnerable to threats.
To except file extensions from scanning:
1. Click Protection on the navigation menu on the
Bitdefender interface.
2. In the ANTIVIRUS pane, click Open.
3. In the Settings window, click Manage Exceptions.
4. Click +Add an Exception.
5. Type the extensions that you want to be excepted from scanning with a
dot before them, separating them with semicolons (;).
