2. Turn off Bitdefender Shield in the Protection window.
Warning
This is a critical security issue. We recommend you to disable real-time
protection for as little time as possible. If real-time protection is disabled, you
will not be protected against threats.
9.6. Scan Exceptions
If you want to, you can set Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac not to scan specific
files, folders, or even an entire volume. For example, you might want to
exclude from scanning:
● Files that are mistakenly identified as infected (known as false positives)
● Files that cause scanning errors
● Backup volumes
Scan Exceptions
The exceptions list contains the paths that have been excepted from
scanning.
To access the exceptions list:
1. Click Protection on the navigation menu on the Bitdefender interface.
2. The Antivirus window opens.
