there that use MPEG2 videos for their cut scenes. For some reason, they also take the task of playing regular
MPEG1 files when the original filters that come with Windows Media Player 6.4 are more than adequate.
Registering/unregistering DirectShow filters will not affect WinDVD's ability to play DVD movies.

Q. I have problems running SoftIce on my GeForce. How can I fix it?
Any problems should be resolved by upgrading to SoftICE version 4.05 or later. If this is not possible, try
using the 5.xx series of Detonator drivers.
You should also try installing the latest swdvid drivers from the NuMega website.
If you are unable to upgrade to version 4.05 and you do not want to use the 5.xx drivers, try setting the
DWORD registry value called 'Siwvid' in the
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services' registry subkey to 1 or 0.
If you press Ctrl-D and get a black screen, press Ctrl-D again to go back to the desktop. You can then
access SoftICE agaio by opening a full screen DOS box and pressing Ctrl-D once more.

Q. Why does my 3DMark2000 score drop by about 200 when I install drivers based on 3.62
and above?
Dynamic lighting is enabled in the 3.62 and above drivers, which looks much nicer but is slower. Look at the
rockets in the helicopter demo - they light up the ground as they pass in 3.62+.

Q. Why can't I run the 64MB texture test in 3DMark2000, even when I've got enough
memory?
Try installing the latest drivers.
Make sure you have as much main memory free as possible before running the test - disk caches and
programmes running in the background may take up memory that the test requires.
Try setting the AGP Aperture size to 128MB or above (try 256MB) and see if that helps. You can find
out to do this in the 'How can I change my AGP Aperture size?' question.
