Operational Problem
Situation: The meter does not display a message after in-
serting a test strip.
PROBABLE CAUSE WHAT TO DO
Battery exhausted. Replace the battery.
Battery incorrectly installed
or absent.
Check that the battery is cor-
rectly installed.
Test strip inserted upside-
down or incompletely.
Insert the test strip correctly
with the contact bars end
rst and facing up.
Defective meter. Please call the dealer for
service.
Situation: The test does not start after applying the sam-
ple.
PROBABLE CAUSE WHAT TO DO
Insufcient blood sample. Repeat the test using a new
test strip with larger volume
of blood sample.
Defective test strip. Repeat the test with a new
test strip.
Sample applied after auto-
matic shutdown (3 minutes
after last user action).
Repeat the test with a new
test strip.Apply sample only
when “ ” appears on the
display.
Defective meter. Please call the dealer for
service.
