Introduction
4 | S3 Biosafety System
The front panel of the S3 biosafety system has two access doors (Figure 4).
■n
Sample access door — provides access to the loading stage touch screen lock, and
sort chamber
■n
Fluidics access door — provides access to bulk fluidics door and allows fluidics
containers to be exchanged
All four vinyl side panels are connected to the aluminum frame using magnetic attachment. Both
access doors are attached to the front panel by magnets. The panels and doors can be detached
using minimal effort and are designed for easy accessibility to the S3 or S3e cell sorter inside.
CAUTION: Risk of danger!
Magnets could affect the functioning of pacemakers and implanted heart defibrillators.
■n
A pacemaker could switch into test mode and cause illness
■n
A heart defibrillator may stop working
While the magnets used on this biosafety system are not high powered, care should
be taken for those who may be sensitive.
■n
If you wear these devices keep sufficient distance from magnets until tested to be safe
■n
Warn others who wear these devices that they should stay a safe distance from
the magnets
