‘B’ Adhesive Seals
for PCR Plates
Microseal ‘B’ adhesive seals provide a tight sealing option for PCR in thin-wall PCR plates.
The aggressive adhesive allows secure sample storage or transport, before and after cycling.
The clear polyester backing allows easy inspection of sample wells and effective light
transmission for optical assays. Removal of the liner exposes a pristine sealing surface that
is certified free of RNase, DNase, and human DNA. Sealing during PCR requires pressure
applied by a heated lid. The robust adhesive is effective from –40°C to 110°C.
Microseal ‘B’ clear seals can be used with all polypropylene and polystyrene PCR plates.
This sealer is not recommended for Concord
™
-type polycarbonate PCR plates due to its
strong adhesion to the flat upper surface of those plates. The perforated end-tabs should
be removed when using this sealer on Microseal semi-skirted PCR plates (MSS-9601) or in
automated plate handlers.
Directions For Use
1. Remove gold-colored liner and place adhesive surface over wells.
2. Apply pressure with fingers or a soft rubber roller (#MSR-0001) to ensure
complete contact with each well.
3. Close heated lid and tighten firmly to ensure proper sealing. For MJ-line cyclers with
adjustable lids, turn thumbwheel to point of initial contact, then add 1/2 turn of the wheel.
