System Settings
Setting Description
About phone Display technical information such as Android version, Build
number, System version etc., and check for updates or the Status of
the handset.
WARNING
Some of these settings are for advanced users. If you are unsure about what the
setting does, it is better not to change it.
Some advanced settings may cause your handset to malfunction when set
improperly.
29.1 Firmware Upgrade
You may need to upgrade the rmware every now and then to improve its
performance and enable other future features.
1. Tap
> Settings > About Phone > System updates.
2. Follow on-screen instructions.
Note
Plug the charger into the handset when upgrading rmware.
You can also check for software updates from Settings > About Phone >
Software updates > System updates.
29.2 Factory Data Reset
This erases all data from the phone’s memory, and sets it back to the original factory
settings. Make sure you have backed up any important application-specic data to
the SD card.
1. Tap
> Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset.
2. Tap Reset phone > Erase everything.
The handset will power down automatically during the reset.
3. The handset will automatically power up again when done.
Warning
If you do not want to erase the contents of your SD card, make sure the Erase
phone storage is not checked, before tapping Reset phone.
