6.4 MAC FILTER
This screen appears when M e d ia Access Co n t ro l ( MAC ) Filter is selected. T his option al l o w s
access to be re st ricted base d u p o n t he u nique 48-bit MAC addre ss .
To a d d a MAC Addre ss f ilter, cl ick t h e Add button shown below.
To d e l e t e a f ilter, select it fro m t he table below and clic k t he Remove button.

MAC Restric t M o d e Disabled – Dis a b l e s MAC f iltering
Allow – Per mits acce ss f o r t he specified MAC a d d re sses.

Deny – Rejects access for t h e specified MAC addre sses
MAC Addre ss Lists the MAC addresse s subject t o t h e MAC Restric t Mo d e . Th e Add
button p rompts an entry f i e l d t hat requires y o u t y p e i n a MAC addre ss
in a tw o - c h a ra c t e r, 6 -byte co n v e n t i o n : xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx w h e re x x are
hexadecimal n u m b e rs. A maximum o f 6 0 MAC a d d resse s can be added.
