Mounting Method: Wood Frame Mounting (cont.)
2b. Fasten brackets (to oor joists)
Note: This method should be used when the tops of the joists are inaccessible.
Fasten the brackets to the mounting points on the oor joists with the Mounting Hardware as shown. Torque the bolts to 25 ft·lb
(33.9
N·m). The brackets should be facing inward and be mounted ush with the tops of the joists or in the centers of the joists. Note: Ensure
the brackets are positioned so the fan will not interfere if the ceiling section is replaced.
Using a level and carpenters square, ensure the mounting brackets are level and the opposing holes are concentric.
Mounting Hardware (BAF-Supplied):
a. (8) 5/16”-18 x 2-1/2” Bolt
b. (16) 5/16” Flat Washer
c. (8) 5/16” Nut
2c. Fasten brackets (to ceiling joists)
Fasten the brackets to the mounting points on the ceiling joists with the Mounting Hardware as shown. Torque the bolts to 25 ft·lb (33.9
N·m). The tops of the brackets should be facing outward and ush with the tops of the beams.
Using a level and carpenters square, ensure the mounting brackets are level and the opposing holes are concentric.
Mounting Hardware (BAF-Supplied):
a. (8) 5/16”-18 x 2-1/2” Bolt
b. (16) 5/16” Flat Washer
c. (8) 5/16” Nut
