Installation Instructions

3 | P a g e
Place first plank with groove sides facing away from walls.
Continue assembling first row locking together shorter ends of planks. The last
plank in any row will need to be cut with miter or table saw.
Remaining cut piece from prior row should serve as first plank for next row. Stagger
new end-joints from previously installed row a minimum of 6” apart.
Position first plan of second row with short end against a wall spacer. Engage long
side into groove of first row until planks fit together. Lower plank flat until joint clicks
or closes.
Remaining planks on each row will lock into long side and then fold down into the
previous plank installed. Continue until row is complete. Repeat on all remaining
rows.
Measure and cut last row allowing for sufficient width and expansion gap. Trace
contours that may be present in last row. Planks less than 3” should be glued
around edges using PVA wood glue.
Floating floors require expansion breaks and T-Molding transitions installed in
flooring for spans greater than 30’. . Expansion breaks allow for proper expansion
and normal floor movement. Perimeter expansion space for areas exceeding 30’ x
30’ is 3/4". For areas under 30’ x 30’, 1/2" perimeter expansion of 1/2" is
recommended.
Clean floor and install all molding. Take special care to nail molding through wall but
not to subfloor to avoid restricting expansion. Install transition trim pieces, nailing to
the subfloor, not flooring surface.
Make sure to retain at least 10-12 boards from installation for any future needed
repairs.
Care and Maintenance
Use of a good quality dust mop is most effective for clean dust and dirt from floor
surface.
Never use a wet mop on your bamboo floor. Moisture that is allowed to seep into
the seams between planks will result in damage to your flooring. Moisture damage
is not covered under the warranty. If a cleaning agent is used, lightly apply to dust
