Disallow:
This field is very unique. In order to work properly the setting must be selected to "Disallow All." This
setting in essence resets the codec properties. Much like a firewall rule, prioritization is the key
element, you disallow all services and allow only the services (ports) you wish to permit.
Allow:
The system works in a way that it will first try to establish a connection with the first selected codec. If
the line is broken or cannot establish a connection with that specific codec, then the next codec chosen
will be used. A line will continue to try all codecs that are allowed before terminating.

ITU G.711 alaw (64 Kbps, sample-based, used in Europe)

ITU G.723.1 (5.3/6.3 Kbps, 30ms frame size)

ITU G.726 (16/24/32/40 Kbps)
·
ITU G.729 (8 Kbps, 10ms frame size)
·
GSM (13 Kbps (full rate), 20ms frame size)
·
iLBC (15Kbps,20ms frame size: 13.3 Kbps, 30ms frame size)
·
Speex (2.15 to 44.2 Kbps)
·
LPC10 (2.5 Kbps)
5.2.12 Security
Permit and deny rules may be applied to extensions, allowing/disallowing an operation from certain IP
addresses and not others. If no permit/deny rules are listed, it is assumed that extensions may connect
from anywhere.
Deny:
Enter IP/Network name you wish to deny. The default value is "empty".
(Format: 192.168.40.38/255.255.255.255)
Permit:
Enter IP/Network you wish to permit access to. The default value is "empty".
(Format: 192.168.40.40/255.255.255.255)
