3. Hook tabs A and B in the slots on the Multiline
Terminal as shown in Figure 8-54 Attaching the
AP(A)/AP(R)-R Unit to the Multiline Terminal, and
press down until the unit clicks into place.
4. Close the base plate, and snap the cover in place.
5. Install the ferrite core (provided with either Unit)
about 2 inches from the line cord plug as shown in
Figure 8-55 Installing Ferrite Core.
6. Connect the line cord to the unit. Limit the cable
length from the AP(A)/AP(R)-R Unit to the Single
Line Telephone to a maximum of 50 feet.
7. For the AP(R)-R only, plug the AC adapter power
cord in the indicated AP(R)-R Unit receptacle and
connect it to a power source.
8. Install the extended base plate.
