must be observed!
Attention, danger of life! It is strictly forbidden to modify, open, disassemble or reconvert the desktop adapter! Any use other than described
in these operating instructions may damage the desktop adapter and cause dangers such as short-circuit, re etc.!
Attention, danger of life! Connector openings must be free of debris and protected from liquids.

The desktop adatpers are products according to protection class I (with protective conductor connection). They must be earthed on
mains side via a 3-cored mains plug (plug: mains plug on IEC-60320-C13 connector).
Always use the adequate plug/socket combination. Using a non-compatible socket for the DC output connector may damage the supplying
device or cause malfunction.
Technical data
Before using this desktop adapter, be sure to read the corresponding data sheet. If it is unavailable, you can read or download it in the internet
under www.bicker.de. Here you will nd important information such as input voltage, output rating, operating temperature, derating and more. The
desktop adapter may not be operated outside of these technical data!
Installation and start-up
Only a qualied technician may install this unit. During installation the respective standards regarding electrical safety as well as the standard
EN 60950-1 have to be observed. Make sure that the output connector type, the output voltage, polarity and the output current of the desktop
adapter are adequate for the terminal. Ensure the mains voltage complies with the specied input voltage of your dektop adapter. Use only power
cords with IEC-60320-C13 connector for mains connection. Please nd more information on the specic cables at the respective product data sheet.
Make sure the cables are not squeezed or damaged. Protect cables against sharp edges and mechanical stress. If necessary, x them using cable
straps and apply a protective padding to sharp edges.
Operation
The desktop adapter may only be operated in dry interiors. Contact with water has to be avoided under any circumstances. Operation under
conditions such as extreme cold or heat and near inammable gases, steams or solvents is strictly forbidden as well. Always ensure an adequate
ventilation in order to avoid overheating. Observe the maximum operating temperature.
Before cleaning the desktop adapter remove power plug from the socket (do not pull on the cord) to disconnect the device from the mains. Do not
use liquid detergent, but only slightly moistened cleaning cloths.
Derating
When operating the desktop adapter in a higher temperature range such as +40…+60 °C the power drain has to be reduced in order to decrease
the load applied to the unit. This is not done automatically. The user himself has to take this into consideration when setting up the system and allow
for an adequate power reserve!
Example: If a 60 Watt PC power supply has to be operated at +50 °C operating temperature and a derating of 2 % / °C within the range of
+40…+60 °C is dened in the data sheet, the output load may not exceed 48 Watts.
Maintenance
The desktop adapter does not contain any parts which need
maintenance. In case of failure pull the main plug. Repairing
and therefore opening of the desktop adapter supply has to be done
by a qualied technician or repair shop.
