3.2 How to operate the microphone
On/Off mode
• Turn on the Stegos TB boundary microphone with the push-
button  . The microphone that is turned on first, is always 
allocated to channel 1.
• The microphone is open and the push-button will illuminate red.
If you press the push-button  another time, the microphone is
muted, but the channel still allocated. The push-button does not 
illuminate any more. 
Push-To-Mute mode
• Turn on the Stegos TB boundary microphone with the push-
button  . The microphone that is turned on first, is always 
allocated to channel 1.
• The microphone is open and the push-button  will illuminate
red. If you hold down the push-button , the microphone is
muted. The push-button  does not illuminate any more. The
microphone is still allocated to a channel. 
• If you release the push-button , the microphone is open again.
Function test
• You can test if the boundary microphone are operating: 
Connect a headphone to the Stegos RS receiver .
Turn the control  to set the volume and press the control  
several times until you have listened to all channels from 1 to 4 or
the Mix signal. 
How to turn off
• There are several ways to turn off the microphone: 
a) Press the on/off switch  for about 3 seconds (only when
the on/off mode has been selected).
b) Press the push-button  for about 3 seconds at the rear of
the microphone unit.
