There is a wide range of readers for the Entro system, which gives you the opportunity to choose
the reader best suited for your needs. Proximity readers for instance, can read cards from 5 to 30 cm.
The “close” proximity reader is the most common choice, with benefits such as simplicity, lower
risk of manual interference and less wear-and-tear on the cards when compared to magnetic stripe
cards readers.
Hands-free readers, when used in conjunction with Bewator’s Cotag active technology can read
cards from a distance of up to 1 metre. The reader can also be installed inside a wall or behind a
glass partition, making it highly resistant to vandalism or interference.
PR500 – Mullion Proximity Reader
Compact, proximity reader for Bewator Entro or Bewator Entro Lite. It holds a read
range of up to 30 cm with an active card and 10cm with an inactive card. Available with
EM or Cotag reading technology.
