Biometric Fingerprint readers
The BIO V-PASS FX reader is identification only. The BIO V-PROX readers are verification devices and require a PIN number or proximity card to identify the
user templates in the database.
The user templates are stored in the memory of the readers. Users are enrolled via PC and the software comes FOC with the device. The readers may be
networked to simplify enrolment.


The above readers require a controller that accepts either a Clock & Data or Wiegand output and a 12V dc supply.

Biometric Finger Print Readers (Template on Card)
Readers that combine iCLASS and biometric technologies make iCLASS smart cards into portable databases that are well-suited for installations spanning
multiple sites. Storing the template on the card simplifies system start-up and enables the support of unlimited populations.
The biometric readers below incorporate iCLASS technology to provide security managers the peace of mind that comes with identifying the individual,
not just the card. iCLASS compatible biometric readers provide a solution where only one person can use a given security token.
These iCLASS readers have integrated fingerprint readers. The fingerprint is stored on the iCLASS card (16K2 or 16K16) thus the user carries the reference
template around with them.
There is no need to network these readers together.

one 3251 Enrolment unit to store the fingerprints onto the iCLASS cards. 16K2 or 16K16 cards
must be used.

The above readers are configured to operate on the BSB P1 & P3 range of controllers only. Please refer to pages 67 & 68 for a compatible controller.

Biometric Finger Print Readers
The DGID is a high performance fingerprint scanner using digital thermal technology. This technology, and the
method of scanning the finger, results in a much faster and more reliable read than most optical devices.Supplied as a complete standalone unit to accommodate 1,000 users, together with the software and interfacewithin the package, the DGID also has a 26-bit wiegand output to allow connection to other equipment. TheDGID employs identification rather than verification techniques, therefore it does not require the user to have a “pointing” device such as a code or card to enable the unit to identify the user and allow or deny access.
