* A communications module is not mandatory where the number
of doors does not exceed 16. If however the distance from the PC to
the controller exceeds 15m or where more than two controllers are
required for up to 16 doors (where cabling does not allow all access
points to go back to two controllers) a 4232 comms module can be
used for this purpose.
