E.A.S. Electronic Article Surveillance is a way of protecting a retail stores merchandise. What is a Tagging System? A tagging system comprises of a transmitter, receiver and a tuned circuit (a tag). The majority of tagging systems are presence only detection systems. When a tag is put into the field, the field is detuned and this detuning is detected by the receiver. The receiver has many high Q filters to reduce the risk of false alarms. The receiver has to look at more than one frequency (sweep).

Being completely self contained by battery operation, the only wires necessary are those between the door unit and controller, and the locking device - mains versions are available on request.
